Building Polo in Central Oregon

Bend Polo Club was founded by Henri du Toit in 2015. We are a USPA sanctioned polo club dedicated to developing players and growing the sport in Central Oregon.

We offer structured instruction for new riders and developing players, along with weekly organized practices and competitive chukkars throughout the season (May through September).

During the summer season, our players compete in tournaments throughout the Pacific Northwest. We prioritize horsemanship, discipline, and continued skill development while cultivating a welcoming, team-oriented club environment built on a shared respect for the horse and the sport.

Camp Fraley Ranch

Camp Fraley Ranch is home to Bend Polo Club and features a near regulation-size field, indoor arena, outdoor paddocks and pastures, and sweeping views of Central Oregon

Our Leadership Team

  • Henri du Toit

Henri du Toit is the founder, owner, and head professional of Bend Polo Club. He has been playing polo since 1990 and achieved a 3 goal handicap during his nine years playing professionally.

As a certified USPA instructor, Henri has travelled nationally to teach clinics, build multiple polo fields, train polo horses, and develop polo schools and clubs.

Today, he is dedicated to developing players in the PNW and building a competitive, welcoming club culture at Bend Polo Club. His favorite polo pony to play is his bay gelding, Rocco.

  • Rachele Gallinat

Rachele “Shelly” Gallinat serves as the manager of Bend Polo Club and has played in integral role in it’s growth and development. She has been playing polo for over 16 years, beginning at Oregon State University where she competed throughout the West Coast Collegiate circuit.

Shelly continues to compete in the PNW. She oversees club operations while coaching riders at all levels and supporting the continued growth of polo in Central Oregon. Her favorite polo pony is her chestnut mare, Ginny Weasley - one of her beloved “Harry Potter” string of ponies.
